John has more than 18 years of banking expertise in a variety of capacities. His experience includes processing commercial loans, selling brokerage products in a bank setting and managing the business banking department of a large local bank. John draws on this experience to lead the BlackRidgeBANK team and ensure that customers receive common-sense solutions and outstanding service. John remains active in day-to-day operations, which allows him to stay in touch with clients and staff. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his daughter, exercising, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
Joel Kostelecky
Vice President
Joel has more than 11 years of banking experience, nine of which are in the business banking arena. Joel’s no-nonsense approach to business banking allows him to provide both conventional and unconventional financing options for his clients. He provides customized banking solutions with a high level of customer service and fast turnaround times. Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, golfing, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding and cooking.
Larry Rolfson
Vice President of Relationship Development
A lifelong Bismarck resident, Larry brings 18 years of banking experience to BlackRidgeBANK and its customers. Before entering banking, Larry spent 20 years as a business owner and sales manager in the construction and manufacturing industries. Larry continually strives to provide his clients with the best blend of products and services to meet their needs. He focuses his marketing efforts both toward BlackRidgeBANK and his commercial relationships. Larry is heavily involved in civic and community affairs in the Bismarck-Mandan and western North Dakota areas. Larry enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, two daughters, a son-in-law and two granddaughters. His hobbies include hunting, golfing, boating, gardening, cooking, going to the lake and spending time with friends.
Kristen Butler
Vice President of Client Services
Kristen has more than 15 years of experience in banking, including lending, personal and private banking, cash management and merchant services. As vice president of client services, she uses her customer service, relationship-building and leadership skills to ensure that customers receive superior service. Her energy, enthusiasm and witty personality are infectious. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, a daughter and two sons. Her hobbies include shopping, running and spending time with family and friends.
Brent Goetz
Mortgage Lender
Originally from Fargo, ND, Brent graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. In 2001, he moved to Bismarck ND, where he has resided for the past ten years. Brent has over 20 years of management and sales experience with the last five being dedicated to the mortgage industry. His background and strong work ethic provide him with knowledge and insight to assist his clients with all of their mortgage needs. Brent is committed to helping his clients achieve their dream of home ownership. Whether you are refinancing your home, or buying a home for the first time, investing in an investment property or splurging on a vacation home, he can assist you with it all. In his spare time , Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and children, going to their sporting events, and anything to do with the outdoors.
